A few advantages to the material over hard plastics or foam 

🧵 1. Flexibility & Elasticity

• TPU is a flexible filament, so it's great for making parts that need to bend or stretch.

• It has excellent elastic recovery, meaning it can return to its original shape after being squished or stretched.

🛡️ 2. Durability & Toughness

• TPU is abrasion-resistant and impact-resistant, making it perfect for rugged applications like protective cases, bumpers, or wearable tech.

• It holds up well under stress and won’t crack easily like more rigid filaments (e.g., PLA).

💧 3. Chemical & Water Resistance

• Resistant to oils, greases, and many chemicals.

• It's also water-resistant, so it’s suitable for outdoor gear.

⚙️ 4. Good Layer Adhesion

• TPU typically has strong interlayer bonding, which improves the overall strength and longevity of prints—especially important for functional parts.
